NATALIA GIRALDO

Natalia Giraldo is proof that sometimes the best careers are the ones you don’t plan for. After growing up in Sweden, she returned home to Colombia and unexpectedly stepped into a sales role in logistics, an industry that immediately captured her heart. What started as a new opportunity quickly turned into a passion, and today she’s thriving as an Account Executive at Lean Solutions Group. Natalia brings both heart and hustle to her work, balancing the fast pace of sales with her natural talent for building authentic, lasting connections. She believes trust and relationships are at the core of this industry, and it shows in the way she shows up every day. With her positivity, drive, and contagious energy, Natalia is a rising leader who leaves an impression wherever she goes.

  1. What is your current role and company?

    • Account Executive at Lean Solutions Group

  2. How did you end up in the world of supply chain?

    • Long story short… I grew up in Sweden with a background in special education, but I decided to move back home to Colombia and start looking for my next opportunity. Funny enough, my sister was working at a company that ended up recruiting me, and I landed a sales role in near-shoring for logistics and transportation. I instantly fell in love with it!

  3. What is your favourite part of your work day?

    • My favourite part of the day is building relationships. I’m naturally social, so connecting with people comes easily. I love how sales keeps you on your toes, and knowing that Lean Solutions helps create better opportunities for people in Colombia, while also helping North American companies solve problems, makes the work feel really meaningful.

  4. What is the least favourite part of your work day?

    • Honestly, emails are my least favourite part of the day. They’re necessary, but I prefer spending my time talking with people.

  5. What is a systemic issue in your part of the supply chain that concerns you currently?

    • The overwhelming number of AI companies entering the supply chain space, each offering fragmented solutions.

  6. How would you address it if you had the power, money, or influence?

    • I’d focus on building solutions that actually solve real problems and fit into the systems teams are already using. There's so much noise out there, and most companies don’t need more tools, they need smarter ones that work together. You won’t always find one provider that can do it all, but with the right solutions engineer, you can identify pain points, automate key processes, and build real efficiency into your operations.

  7. What is one piece of advice you have for young women entering your field?

    • Don’t underestimate the power of networking. This industry runs on relationships, whether it’s with partners, clients, or even competitors. Coming from a background in both education and sales, I’ve seen firsthand how far real, authentic connections can take you.

At the end of the day, it’s all about building trust. The strongest opportunities usually come from people who already know what you bring to the table. And especially in a male-dominated industry, it’s important to believe in your voice, your perspective, and the value you bring, even if you're sometimes the only woman in the room.

  8. What are your top 3 podcasts? (do not have to be industry related)

  9. Who are your top 5 women in supply chain to follow on LinkedIn?

  10. How do you deal with creeps you encounter in your work day?

    • I set clear boundaries from the start: straightforward and professional, so there’s no room for confusion. If something still comes up, I speak up right away, always respectfully.

  11. What is your favourite way to unwind?

    • I love hanging out with my family and the people I care about… but I also need my gym time for that extra energy.

  12. What have you recently changed your mind about?

    • I’ve come to see that failure is just part of the process, we’re all learning and growing every day. We’ve all been there, and what really matters is taking the lesson and moving forward. In sales, there’s always something you could’ve said or done better, and that’s exactly what keeps you improving.

  13. Must haves to get you thru the day?

    • Colombian Coffee non negotiable

    • Gym time

    • Food every 3h you don’t want to see me hangry

    • 4. My 1.5L water bottle

    • 5. Walks with my dog Coco
